The Jubilee Cross is an important symbol for the Jubilee 2025, representing the redemption won by Christ by dying on the cross. In the Diocese of San Pablo, the Jubilee Cross will be surrounded by Icons depicting the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy. The Icons were commissioned by the diocese to a well-known religious brother residing in Laguna, Bro. Edilberto "James Alberione Ma." Dionio, SMITH, who is behind some artwork in parishes, especially the wall paintings at the San Pablo Theological Formation House in Tagaytay.
Responding to the wishes of the Holy Father, the Committee of the Jubilee Year celebration of our Diocese, headed by our bishop, together with the reverend parish priests of the Jubilee churches, have agreed that the Jubilee pilgrim cross will visit all the parishes within the Diocese during the Jubilee Year. The pilgrimage of the Pilgrim Jubilee Cross will start on January 30, 2025. This activity aims to bring the message of hope of this jubilee to all parts of our local church here in San Pablo. The Jubilee Cross to be used in the Pilgrimage is the Official 2025 Jubilee Pilgrim Cross designed by Riccardo Izzi.
