San Roque Parish, San Roque, San Pablo City

For the poor, migrants, prisoners, and workers to console the afflicted

The Parish of San Roque was established on July 31, 1991. The initial church was a small chapel made of bamboo. On June 23, 1995, the land donated by Mrs. Sinforosa Azores-Gomez for the construction of the new church was blessed, but in the year 1997, changes made in the building plan caused serious conflicts leading to legal disputes and divisions among the people. Because of this, church construction was suspended and the focus shifted to the formation of the people.

Building constructions resumed after being suspended for about two years. On August 7, 2000, on the first of day of Novena Mass in honor of San Roque, the people formally transferred to the new church during the term of Fr. Cesar Gonzales, Jr. It was completed in 2002. Additional infrastructure was added with the construction of a new rectory house, initiated and completed during the term of Fr. Nelson Hernandez.
