San Isidro Labrador Parish, Makiling, Calamba City

For Workers, Entrepreneurs, Businessmen and Business Women

San Isidro Labrador Parish in Barangay Makiling, originally a chapel under the Parish of San Vicente Ferrer in Barangay Real, was declared a quasi-parish in 1997 following the recommendation of Fr. Isagani Pasawa and the approval of Bishop Francisco San Diego. The construction of the convent began, but financial difficulties delayed the process. However, with the help of Feliciano Torres, president of Yazaki-Torres Manufacturing Incorporated, who offered financial assistance, the project moved forward. On December 8, 2000, during the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, Bishop San Diego canonically erected the parish and installed Fr. Philip Atienza as its first parish priest.

In 2021, Bishop Buenaventura Famadico dedicated a new altar, and in 2022, the parish celebrated its 25th anniversary with Fr. Francis Eugene Fadul overseeing the completion of the convent renovations and the installation of new retablos in the sanctuary. The parish also houses the relics of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, along with those of her parents, Sts. Louis and Zelie Martin, adding to the church's spiritual and historical significance.
