The Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes began as simple Sunday Mass gatherings held in a multi-purpose hall within the United San Pedro subdivision. In 1982, it was established as a sub-parish under the care of San Pedro Apostol Parish. Despite repeated petitions for it to be elevated to a full parish, it remained a sub-parish for many years due to a shortage of diocesan priests. It wasn't until 1996 that Bishop Francisco San Diego approved the petition, formally establishing the Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes, with Fr. Alberto San Jose as its first parish priest.
In the following years, significant improvements were made to the church structure, largely through the efforts of the Pastoral Council and the assistance of Vitré Artus Glass Art Co., a renowned church architecture firm located just a few meters from the church. On June 12, 2012, the newly improved parish church was solemnly dedicated by Bishop Leo Drona, SDB, marking a significant milestone in the parish's history and its spiritual journey.
