Fr. Reynald Atienza, fondly called “Fr. Enald” or “Fr. Bes” guested in the “Bawal Judgemental” segment of Philippine noontime show “Eat Bulaga” on Wednesday, February 2. He was among other social media priests known for their online apostolates. In the segment, one of Fr. Reynald’s TikTok videos was played—a clip from one of his homilies—wherein he exhorted how everyone should live his/her everyday life as if it is the last, with the tag “seize the moment”. During the short interview by hosts Wally Bayola and Jose Manalo, Fr. Reynald shared how he extends his apostolate by welcoming requests for counselling especially to the youth. When asked how he was able to offer counselling despite experiencing the difficulties of the pandemic himself, Fr. Reynald answered that experiencing the same problems of the people has in fact helped him to be more “grounded” and empathize with everyone.

Fr. Reynald is a priest of the Diocese of San Pablo and hails from the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Jesus in the Holy Sepulcher (Lolo Uweng) in Landayan, San Pedro City. He started doing online ministry after his first book “Bes, Love ka ni God!” made success in 2017. Fr. Reynald currently creates daily/weekly contents on Facebook (@Fr.EnaldAtienza) and TikTok (@Fr.EnaldAtienza). Other books authored by Fr. Reynald include: “Bes, Blessed Ka, Claim it!" (2018), “Bes, Tawag ka ni God!” (2019), and “Where na You po, Lord?” (2021). He is currently assigned as parochial vicar of the Parish and National Shrine of San Antonio de Padua in Pila, Laguna.
