Ang munting aklat na ito ay naglalaman ng mga maiikling paliwanag tungkol sa katuruan ng Simbahang Katolika—ano ang Simbahan, ang nilalaman ng Credo, ang buhay-moral, at buhay-panalangin. Katulad ng orihinal na aklat na “Doctrina Cristiana” na inilimbag noong 1593, nais din ng aklat na ito ang ituro ang pananampalataya sa paraang mauunawaan at mapagninilayan ng bawat Katolikong pamilya o sambahayan; kaya’t bawat kabanata ay naglalaman ng “layunin” sa simula at “takdang gawain” sa katapusan.
